Biography

Vanessa Calle Suin

Executive Coordinator

Vanessa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication, specializing in Organizational Communication and Public Relations. She has extensive experience in managing community projects, educommunication, and advancing human rights, with a particular focus on gender equity. Throughout her career in Ecuador, she has held various roles, including community manager, program coordinator, and trainer in human rights, specifically addressing women’s rights, environmental rights, and sexual and reproductive health.

Her academic background is complemented by diplomas in Quality Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, and Socio-environmental Conflicts, underscoring her dedication to sustainability and social justice. Over the course of more than ten years, she has contributed as a facilitator and speaker at numerous events on feminism, human rights, ecofeminism, and women’s empowerment.

Vanessa has worked with organizations such as “UNICEF Ecuador”, “Fundación María Amor”, and “Fundación Sendas”, for three and a half years, coordinating national programs and organizing training schools, events, workshops, and campaigns aimed at preventing gender-based violence, promoting political advocacy, sexual education, leadership, and youth development.

As the Executive Coordinator of A Breeze of Hope Foundation, Vanessa leads a diverse team, integrating roles to fulfill the foundation’s mission. Her leadership is characterized by social sensitivity, the ability to build trust, and a focus on empowering healing communities. Her experience in social communication and her commitment to gender equality and human rights, combined with her personal experience as a survivor of childhood sexual violence, give her a unique ability to connect with and support vulnerable communities. Additionally, her expertise in educommunication and women’s rights strengthens the foundation’s projects designed to prevent child sexual violence.

Her commitment is unwavering: to create a world where children’s rights are upheld, and where they can live with dignity, happiness, and free from all forms of violence.
