Biography

 Parker Palmer

Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer

Parker is a lawyer by profession, specializing in International Human Rights, and a survivor of child sexual violence. He uses his story and experience to challenge the “status quo” and promote laws that protect children worldwide. He is a tireless advocate for children’s rights and for the past 19 years he has worked in early childhood development and the prevention of child sexual violence.

Since 2006, his role within the organization has focused on helping government officials and professionals provide trauma-informed services to child survivors of sexual violence.

Parker is the author of two research papers on Bolivian criminal law and criminal procedure, which provided the framework for landmark litigation and thematic hearings before the Inter-American Commission and Court of Human Rights, including the landmark case Angulo Losada vs. Bolivia.

He is also the co-author of several books focusing on the prevention of sexual violence and early childhood development. Additionally, Parker serves as a legal consultant in Bolivia, where he drafts model legislation as part of legal reform efforts and assists local lawyers in developing comprehensive case management strategies.
