Biography
Psychologist
Julia Pahuasi Quispe is originally from Cochabamba and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, earned with Academic Excellence from the Universidad Privada Abierta Latinoamericana (UPAL), Cochabamba campus. She also completed coursework in Political Science and Legal Sciences at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón in Cochabamba.
She volunteered for two and a half years in the Psychological Department of SLIM (Comprehensive Municipal Legal Service) in the Municipality of Colcapirhua, while also collaborating in the psychology area of the Child and Adolescent Advocacy Office (Defensoría de la Niñez y Adolescencia, DNA) in the same municipality.
She holds four postgraduate diplomas, including one in “Socio-Psycho-Legal Intervention in Gender-Based Violence and Femicide” from Universidad Central (UNICEN) in Cochabamba. She also holds two international diplomas: one in “Emergency Psychology, Self-Care, and Preventive Support for Victims and First Responders in Crises, Emergencies, Disasters, and Catastrophes,” and another in “Prevention of Gender-Based Violence and Public Policy,” both accredited by Paulo Freire University of Costa Rica. Additionally, she completed a diploma in “Systemic Family and Couples Psychotherapy” at the Universidad Privada Franz Tamayo (UNIFRANZ POSTGRADO), Santa Cruz campus.
She is currently working as a Psychologist at Fundación Una Brisa de Esperanza (FUBE), where she is part of the institution ‘s transdisciplinary psycho-socio-legal team.
