Biography

Verónica Isabel Zambrano Ramia

Program Officer

Verónica holds a Law degree from Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador, with a specialization in Criminal Law. She also completed a master’s degree in Business Management and Maritime Law from the European University of Valencia, Spain, in 2022.

Verónica is a visionary passionate about promoting human rights for the most vulnerable and a fervent advocate of freedom. She has over three years of experience in corporate legal representation and social case management. For more than five years, she has actively encouraged the development of young leaders in society by implementing innovative campaigns that foster their growth and participation to achieve significant social and legal reforms in Ecuador and the region.

Verónica has served as an active leader in the personal and academic development of young people in the region. She currently teaches at the School of Business of Universidad San Francisco de Quito, where she is recognized for her passion for education and her commitment to teaching youth about their rights and standing by them, especially in times of vulnerability. She has contributed to various legislative projects in the National Assembly, including the Organic Health Code focusing on mental health care for youth. In this way, she has aimed to create societal impact, influence government policy, and implement legal reforms to protect the most vulnerable.

Verónica holds certifications in governance, including one from the 2019 IGF Forum in Munich, Germany, aimed at optimizing democratic and open internet development for Ecuador’s most vulnerable sectors. These efforts ensure that girls, boys, and adolescents have access to free education.

Within the organization A Breeze of Hope, Verónica serves as the technical legal officer responsible for the foundation’s legal aspects and activities. She also provides advice and develops programs through the preparation of legal documents that promote legislative reforms in countries across the region to benefit children and adolescents.
